About TypeTez

TypeTez ("type fast") is a free typing speed test for people in India: exam aspirants preparing for typing and data entry tests, office workers, and anyone who wants to type faster in English or Hindi.

What the site is for

• A typing test that works in the browser, in English and Unicode Devanagari Hindi, with 1, 2, 5 and 10 minute modes.
• Results you can check: every formula is published on how scores work, and each result shows its own arithmetic.
• Plain explanations of what official exam notices say about typing speed, quoted from the notices and dated.
• Guides on posture, practice, Hindi keyboard layouts and setting up Hindi typing.

What it is not

TypeTez is not an official simulator of any exam and is not connected with the Staff Selection Commission, CBSE, any state body or any recruiting agency. Our scores are not the scores an exam body would give you.

Who publishes it

TypeTez is published by ISHAA ESPORTS AND MOTORSPORTS LLP. You can reach us through the contact and corrections page.

How the content is made

Researched and drafted with AI assistance, checked against the sources cited on each page; publisher review recorded in our corrections log. Read the corrections log.

• All typing passages were written for this site. They are not copied from exam papers, books or other websites. People, offices and figures in them are fictional.
• The Hindi passages still need review by a native Hindi speaker. Until that happens, every page that shows them says so.
• Facts about exams, keyboards, Unicode and ergonomics come from official or standards sources, which are linked with the date we checked them. Time-sensitive exam details carry an "as of" date.
• Advice that is our own judgement, such as the practice plan, is labelled as ours.
